What does a day at camp include?

• Each day at Ignite, campers are motivated to engage their mind, body, and soul. A typical day consists of a series of group warm-ups, cheers, competitive games, and relays, along with time to discuss and learn more about Christ through large and small groups led by our counselors.

Age Range

• Children entering 3rd - 8th grade are eligible to attend CG Victory Ignite. We use scholastic level instead of age, so children who are younger or older for their grade are not excluded.

Cooling off

• We give campers frequent water breaks, time under our shaded inflatable, indoor areas for cooling down, and incorporate water games in our programming that will keep them cool.

Snacks

• Every day during our time indoors, we provide a snack for campers. Our usual snacks are goldfish or granola bars, but campers are always welcome to bring their own snack as well!

Camper Medication

• We don’t administer any medication at camp, as campers are only with us from the hours of 8:15 AM - 11:45 AM. However, if your camper needs medicine on-hand during that time (i.e. epi-pen, asthma inhaler) you can drop it off at our HQ Tent where it will be securely stored and available to them if the need arises.

Pick up / Drop off schedule

What is the pick up/drop off schedule each day?

• • Mon - Fri: Camp runs from 8:15 AM - 11:45 AM. Campers can be dropped off between 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM.

• • Saturday: The closing day of camp is from 8:45 AM - 11 AM. We invite the entire family to come out and watch the final competition between both teams, and our end of week award ceremony. Bring a lawn chair, water bottle, sunscreen, hat or sunglasses!

Opening Day

• On the opening day, campers get to know CG Victory staff and counselors by participating in several team building games. A brief opening day ceremony takes place where campers will learn the story behind our camp, find out which one of two teams they will compete on for the entire week, and don their legion’s shirt for the first time.

Closing Day

• On Saturday, the last day of camp, our program runs from 8:45 AM – 11 AM. On the closing day campers will participate in an obstacle course (Victory Dash) to win points for their team and become the winners of the entire week. A brief closing day ceremony will follow the Victory Dash, where campers, counselors and staff are recognized for their hard work and effort . We highly encourage parents to attend the closing day events and ceremony!

Weather

• It’s no secret that summers in Texas can be harsh. We give campers frequent water breaks, access to shaded areas, and water games that will keep them cool in the heat. Please make sure they wear sunscreen daily and bring a water bottle! 
• Camp will still take place if there is rain, however there will be a different activity schedule that will take place indoors. We closely monitor the local weather to ensure the safety of campers.

Who are our staff?

• All of the staff at CG Victory have been hired because of their strong Christian faith, extensive experience with mentoring youth, and collegiate academic backgrounds.

CGV Statement

• CG Victory Co-Founds & Leadership will be monitoring COVID-19 developments, ordinances, and directives handed down from local and national governing authorities. As of now, we are planning on a full summer of outdoor Ignite Day Camps in June and July. We will be implementing safety precautions that have been recommended and already employed for schools, youth groups, and larger outdoor gatherings.

Camp Rescheduling

• In the event of rescheduling camp due to unforeseen circumstances, we will reach out to families individually with their 2022 transfer options.

COVID-19 Precautions

• Due to the ever-changing environment, CG Victory is monitoring governing health organizations and compiling an appropriate Health & Safety Plan for Summer 2021. Updates coming soon.
